 Summer berries fruit salad:

We can cut down on pollution by purchasing foods that are grown or farmed locally to us.  It is more environmentally friendly to buy fruits and vegetables that are in season (naturally grown in the UK during a specific time period).  This recipe suggests making a fruit salad from fruits that are ripe in the UK in the summer.

Please watch the video:

If you would like to have a go at making a fruit salad with fruits that have been grown in the UK, here is the recipe:

450g of mixed berries.  (You can use any fruit that you have.)
100ml apple juice or orange juice
Juice from half a lemon / lime (optional)

Quarter the strawberries and place them in a bowl with the raspberries, blueberries and blackberries (or whatever summer fruits you have).  If you are using apples, peel and chop them into cubes.
Add the apple / orange juice
Squeeze the lemon / lime juice over the fruit (optional).
Serve immediately.
